Acorn was formed in 2025 around an existing insurance asset base from Ambac Assurance Corporation, with the backing of Oaktree* and a mandate that spans liabilities and strategic capital, bespoke origination, and selective asset management.

It is designed to be new where that matters: aligned capital, institutional process, and the ability to move across liabilities, assets, and operating execution without inherited sprawl.

The platform also sits alongside affiliated expertise in legal, accounting, asset operations, and actuarial work, giving Acorn operating context beyond the investment function alone.

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Greg Share

Greg Share is the Chief Executive Officer of Acorn Investment Partners and a Senior Advisor to Oaktree Capital Management, with nearly three decades of experience across insurance asset management, structured finance, and private equity. He previously held senior roles at Oaktree, Moelis Capital Partners, and Fortress Investment Group, and serves on the boards of Ambac Assurance and Kinsale Capital Group. Greg holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and is a CFA Charterholder.

Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer

Yadin Rozov

Yadin co-founded Acorn after a career in structured credit, insurance solutions, and complex principal investing, including as a Partner at GoldenTree Asset Management. He has prior experience acquiring and operating monoline insurance businesses and helped build specialist origination platforms. Yadin currently serves as a Director of Dave, Inc. and Core Scientific, and previously served as Chairman of Nordic Aviation Capital. He holds a Master's in Computer Science from Columbia University and a B.S. in Physics from Rutgers University.

Managing Director

Mike Minnich

Mike Minnich is a Managing Director at Acorn Investment Partners, with nearly 30 years of experience investing for insurance balance sheets. As President, CIO & Co-CEO of American Life / Midwest Holding, he scaled the company from a $20 million shell insurer to a $3.5 billion balance sheet ahead of its 2020 IPO. He previously spent over a decade at Swiss Re. Mike holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT.

Head Trader

Antoine Pain

Antoine Pain is the Head Trader at Acorn Investment Partners, with over two decades of experience trading U.S. and European public credit across cash and derivatives, investment grade and high yield, and flow and structured products. He was most recently Head of Systematic Investment Grade Trading at Citigroup in New York. Antoine holds advanced degrees in engineering and mathematical finance from École Polytechnique and NYU's Courant Institute.

Vice President

Jared Tramontano

Jared Tramontano is a Vice President at Acorn Investment Partners, focused on special situations, structured credit, and private equity. He was previously an investor at Fitzwalter Capital where he focused on special situations private equity and began his career at GoldenTree Asset Management investing in structured credit, distressed corporate credit and digital assets. Jared holds a B.S. in Mathematics from MIT.

Charles Zheng

Charles Zheng is a Vice President at Acorn Investment Partners. He is also a Principal at Ambina Partners, a private investment firm focused on enterprise software and financial services companies. Charles was previously a private equity associate at Partners Group and began his career in investment banking at Raymond James. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Senior Associate

Anthony Zhou

Anthony Zhou is a Senior Associate at Acorn Investment Partners. He was previously an investor at BlackRock, focusing on direct lending and opportunistic credit, and began his career at Loews Corporation, investing on behalf of CNA Insurance. Anthony holds a BBA in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer

George Wilkinson

George Wilkinson is the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Acorn Investment Partners, with more than 20 years of experience in structured credit, finance, and transaction management. He was previously a Managing Director and Senior Counsel at GoldenTree Asset Management, where he structured and negotiated CLO, securitization, and structured finance transactions. George holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.S. in Accounting from St. John's University.

Shawn Armstrong

Shawn Armstrong is the Head of Operations at Acorn Investment Partners, with over 25 years of experience leading technology and operations for global asset management firms. He previously held senior roles at GoldenTree Asset Management, MKP Capital Management, and Ramius LLC. Shawn holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
